- The National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute (NHLBI) intends to purchase an Andor Technology brand name IXon EMCCD Camera Detector System. The camera detector system includes the following Andor components: (1) part # DV887DCS-BV Detector System, consisting of E2V (Marconi) 97 electron multiphying CCD with 512 x 512 pixel; 16 micro square pixels - 8.8 mm active area; back illuminated, VIS optimized response frame transfer CCD; user selectable readout rates of 10, 5, 3, & 1 MHz 14 bits with EMCCD amplifier; user selectable readout rates of 3 & 1 MHz @ 14 bits with conventional low noise amplifier; hard vacuum sealed with a five (5) year warranty; high performance TE cooling to -80 degrees C in air (cooling capacity to -90 degrees C in water cooling); standard water inlet / outlet pipes; standard power supply for cooling; & c-mount lens adapter with built-in 25mm diameter background shutter assembly. (2) Part # CCi-22, System Controller card with the following features: Single (PCI) Interface card, System controller with user selectable readout rates, TE (thermo-electric) cooling control; and (3) part # Andor-MCD, system data acquisition and manipulation software that provides control of all data acquisition and readout modes, for cooling temperature, and is Windows 95/98/NT/2000/XP compatible. The brand name determination is based upon the Government?s requirements of a camera detector system that is sensitive and stable in low light imaging. The Andor Technology DV887DCS-BV is the only known system that meets the Government?s minimum needs. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 334516, and Size Standard is 500 employees for this requirement. This is a total small business set-aside. This acquisition is being conducted under simplified acquisition procedures. Interested vendors capable of furnishing the government with the product in this synopsis should submit a quotation to the below address. The quotation shall include the itemized price, commercial price list, prompt payment terms, the F.O.B. Point (Destination or Origin) Shipping cost, if applicable, business size, Taxpayer Identification Number (TIN), Dun & Bradstreet Number (DUNs), and descriptive literature of the product quoted. The Offeror must also register in the Government?s Contractor Registry System, note: www.ccr.gov . The quotation must reference ?Solicitation number? NHLBI-PS-2005-126-DDC. Quotations will be due ten (10) calendar days from the publication date of this synopsis or July 29, 2005, 12:00 p.m., local time, whichever is later. All responsible sources may submit a quotation, which if timely received, shall be considered by the agency.
