Description

The 42nd Contracting Squadron at Maxwell AFB, AL intends to award a sole source contract to the Brookings Institute, 1775 Massachusetts Avenue N.W., Washington, D.C., 20036-2188 to provide education under the National Defense Fellows (NDF) program for one student. Brookings Institute?s program focus emphasizes the audit, attendance, and leading workshops, seminars, and courses at other prestigious think tanks and universities in the Washington area, i.e. Center for Strategic and International Studies, Atlantic Council, Washington Institute of Near East Policy, Georgetown University, conducting forums relating to Air Force and Defense Policies, working in an unstructured environment, conducting research and writing a scholarly article for the USAF. Other supplies and administrative services include, but not limited to, unlimited telephone, fax, computer usage, copier, secretarial support, office space (including electricity and heat), and miscellaneous office supplies. This will be a firm-fixed price contract. If there are any other businesses that can provide the specified service, they must respond to this notice before 25 Jul 2005 at 2:00pm. If no responses are received by the above date, a sole source contract with Brookings Institute will be pursued.
