PAPER COPIES OF THIS SOLICITATION WILL NOT BE ISSUED AND TELEPHONE REQUESTS OR FAX REQUESTS FOR THIS SOLICITATION WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED. Offerors must register at the NBC website to obtain a copy of this solicitation and to receive an electronic notification of any amendments. This service is provided as a convenience only and does not serve as a guarantee of notification. Offerors are responsible for visiting this website periodically. No other notifications will be issued. Prospective offerors desiring to conduct business with DOI are requested to register at the Central Contractors Register (CCR) on the internet at http://www/ccr.gov. The solicitation package will contain the bid schedule, specifications, drawings, and evaluation criteria to be used for the selection of a contractor. Solicitation documents will be available in Microsoft Word, HTML, and Adobe PDF formats. Hard copies will not be available. In accordance with FAR Part 15, Contracting by Negotiation and Subpart 19.10 Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration Program (Public Law 100-656) the National Park Service intends to issue a Request for Proposals (RFP) for the construction of a new Science and Education Center at Great Smoky Mountains National Park, Gatlinburg, TN. The building site is approximately 1.5 miles south of east of Gatlinburg, TN. The construction will consist of timber and steel frame one-story slab on grade building (approximately 15,000 SF) with all associated systems, site-work, utilities and related appurtenances, including geothermal wells and a water tank. The Request for Proposal will contain a base bid and bid additives. This project is set-aside for SBA Certified Hubzone concerns only. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) is 236220; the size standard is $28.5 million. Estimated price range is between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000. A firm-fixed price contract will be issued with a performance period of 365 calendar days. There will be a pre-proposal meeting scheduled for all interested offerors. The date and time will be provided in the proposal package. All requests shall consist of the RFP #N5460050500, complete company name, point of contact, complete address, telephone and fax numbers.
