Description

This synopsis is being posted to both the Federal Business Opportunities(FBO) page located at http://www.eps.gov and the Navy Electronic Commerce on Line(NECO) site located at http://www.neco.navy.mil. While it is understood that FBO is the single point of entry for posting of synopsis and solicitations to the internet, NECO is the alternative in case FBO is unavailable. Please feel free to use either site to access information posted by the Navy Sea Systems Command. NUWC Division Newport has will procure sole source from Transitech DSP Corp., Ithica, NY the following items: 10 ea. Part No. PMCFPGA01, XILINX VIRTEX FPGA PMC Boards; and 6 ea. Part No. LVDSMOD2, LVDS Input Output Adapter for above. The reason for the sole source is that Transtech DSP is the OEM of the PMC Modules used in the existing ADCAP Software Testbeds and is the only manufacturer who can provide PMC boards that are completely compatible and interchangeable with the existing Transitech DSP hardware and applications. This board supports an out of the box FPDP interface and allows us to develop the custom SEDI interface in the same board. The proposed action is for supplies for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source using SAP and commercial item procedures as set forth in FAR Parts 12 and 13. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all proposals received by the closing date will be considered by the Government. A determination not to compete this proposed contract based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Our department no longer issues solicitations or amendments in paper form. Instead, they may be accessed at our web site http://www.npt.nuwc.navy.mil/contract/. We also provide electronic access in our Bid Room.
