Description

FISC Contracting Department, Philadelphia Office intends to procure a Flame Ionization Detector (FID), including spark plug kit for the United States Naval Academy, Annapolis, MD. Request for Quotation (RFQ) N00140-05-Q-3581 contemplates a firm fixed price contract. Delivery of supplies is required by 30 October 2005. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with Simplified Acquisition Procedures. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This is a sole source action with Cambustion LTD since they are the only source capable of providing the required unit with a response time of less than one (1) millisecond. It is the contractor?s responsibility to be familiar with the applicable clauses and provisions. The clauses may be accessed in full text at these addresses: www.arnet.gov/far and www.dtic.mil/dfars. The NAICS Code is 334515. It is requested that qualified sources are capable of providing the following Contract Line Item Numbers (CLINs): CLIN 0001 ? (1 each) FID system (exhaust sampling) including: two channels w/10m service cable, heated sample probes, spare probe and spare calibration adapter, auto-calibration system, user-interface computer (choice of desktop or laptop), vacuum pump w/appropriate fittings, cabinet w/tools & manuals drawer, one-year technical support (renewable annually), function check & training, selection of spares and tool kit; CLIN 0002 ? (1 Each) sampling spark plug kit including: offset spark plug (type to be chosen by customer from available range), h-t extension, two in-cylinder sample probe ( one spare), extended constant pressure sampling system; CLIN 0003 ? Shipping The provision at 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors ? Commercial Items, is applicable to this procurement. Offerors are advised to include a completed copy of the provisions at 52.212-3, Offeror Representations and Certifications-Commercial Items, with their offer. The clause at 52.212-4, Contract Terms and Conditions-Commercial Items applies to this acquisition.
