- This will be a firm-fixed price construction project to provide construction of a brigade command headquarters building, Fort Hood, Texas. The project includes office space, conference rooms, classrooms and training areas, mailroom, supply and stora ge, and information systems. Supporting facilities include utilities; water, sewer, sewer, electric service; exterior lighting; paving, walks, curbs and gutters; parking; fire protection, sprinkler and alarm systems; storm drainage, information systems, a nd site improvements. This project will be advertised as an UNRESTRICTED. The Fort Worth District subcontracting goals are for specific percentages of the contractors total planned subcontract amount to be placed with the following: Small Business, 41. 3%; Small Disadvantaged Business 15.8%; Women-Owned Small Business 5.6%; HUB Zone Small Business 7.5%; Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business 1.0%; Historically Black Colleges & Universities/Minority Institutions (HBCU/MI) 13.9%. Reporting by Large Business 100%. NAICS Code is 236220. Small Business Size Standard is $28.5 Million. Estimated issue date is on or around 5 Aug 2005. Estimated Proposal Due date is on or around 7 Sep 2005. Estimated Construction Cost Range is between $5,000,000 and $ 10,000,000. Contract award will be based on best value to the Government, which may or may not result in accepting the lowest priced offer. The plans and specifications will be placed on Compact Disk (CD-ROM) and will be provided free of charge. Plans a nd specifications will not be provided in a paper hard copy format. Notification of amendments shall be made through 3.5 diskette, CD-Rom and/or the Internet. However, the government reserves the right to use only the Internet as notification of any cha nges to this solicitation. It is therefore the contractors responsibility to check the following address daily for any posted changes to this solicitation.
