The solicitation will for a basic year and two (2) 100% option years. No technical data is currently available. The proposed contract action is for supplies orservices for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source (Vectronix) under the authority of FAR 6.302. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This notice of intent is not a request for competitve proposals. However, all proposals received within forty-five days after date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is soley within the discretion of the government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitve procurement. Esti mated issue date is 18APR2005. The solicitation will be issued electronically in accordance with FAR 4.501, 5.102(a)(7) and 14.205-1(c) therefore hardcopies will not be provided. Vendors wishing an electronic copy may download it on or after the issue da te by accessing the following adress via the internet: http://www-acala1.ria.army.mil/ACALA/AAIS/AAIS.htm. This solicitation will be issued electronically as will any amendments thereto. Because of this, the Government is under no obligation and is fact unable to maintain a bidders mailing list. It is therefore incumbent upon any interested parties to periodically access the above internet address.
