- Description
- The Department of Education has a requirement for an AppDetective Corporate Audit License: Database & Middleware. AppDetective is a network-based vulnerability assessment tool that rates the security strength of applications within a network. AppDetective's Corporate Audit License: Database & Middleware will assess the vulnerabilities of MySQL, Oracle, Sybase, IBM DB2, Microsoft SQL Server, Lotus Notes/Domino, Oracle Application Server and Web Applications. Currently, the Department's OIG uses the AppDetective software to assess network vulnerability. The Office of the Chief Information Officer requires AppDetective to ensure the use of the same type of database scanning tool throughout the Department. The procurement of a single AppDetective Corporate Auditing License will allow a single user within the Department to use one machine, in order to perform vulnerability assessements against an unlimited number of customers' UUT's. The Government requests cost proposals from authorized distributors of the following AppDetective product: Line 0001: AppDetective Corporate Audit License: Database & Middleware, Quantity = (1). Interested organizations must submit their quotes to meet the requirement in writing to the identified point of contact via email not later than 2:00 PM EST on July 26, 2005. All responsible sources may submit an offer which shall be considered by the agency. Pursuant to clause 52.232-8, Discounts for Prompt Payment, ED will now accept vendor discounts for prompt payment. You have the choice of whether or not to offer ED discounted payment terms in return for early payment of your invoices. Vendors choosing to offer these discounts shall indicate the discounts terms clearly on the front page of future invoices. Period of Performance: The period of performance shall be for one (1) year from the date of the award.
