Description
TREASURE ISLAND JOB CORPS CENTER IS ACCEPTING BIDS FOR THE INSTALLATION OF CARPET IN BLDG 369. THE FOLLOWING IS THE SCOPE OF WORK FOR INSTALLAION OF CARPET AT 1ST, 3RD AND 4TH FLOORS OF BLDG. 369 AND THE GAME ROOM: I. SCOPE 1. COLOR OF CARPET TO BE DETERMINED BY PURCHASER PRIOR TO AWARD OF CONTRACT. 2.THE TYPE AND MANUFACTURER OF THE CARPET WILL BE IDENTIAL TO ONES ALREADY INSTALLED AT 2ND AND 5TH FLOOR. 3.CARPET SHALL BE INSTALLED FOR ALL BEDROOMS, OFFICES, LOUNGES, STUDY ROOMS, STORAGE AREA, HALLWAY AND GAME ROOM. Carpet manufacturer : Shaw, Carpet style: Potential II, Construction: Textured loop, Fiber content: 100% Solution dyed nylon, Face weight: 26 ounces, SSP Shaw soil protection, 10 year limited commercial warrently, Radiant panel test: Class 1, Chamber test: less than 450. 4.A 4-1/2 INCHES WIDE, BLACK, LIPPED COVE BASE SHALL BE APPLIED TO EDGES OF ALL NEW CARPET 5.CONTRACTOR SHALL REMOVE AND DISPOSE OF ALL EXISTING CARPET, AND CLEAN THE FLOOR SUFFICIENTILY THAT THE NEW CARPET WILL ADHERE TO THE FLOOR AND PROVIDE A SMOOTH APPEARANCE. 6. A PARKING SPACE BY THE DRIVEWAY WILL BE PROVIDED FOR THE CONTRACTOR?S DUMPSTER 7.A STORAGE SPACE, FOR A REASONABLE AMOUNT OF STAGING MATERIAL WILL BE PROVIDED AT OUR MAINTENANCE SHOP. 8.A ROOM WILL BE PROVIDED ON 3RD AND 4TH FLOOR FOR OVERNIGHT TOOL STORAGE. PURCHASER, HOWEVER, DISCLAIM ANY LIABILITY OF STOLEN AND OR MISSING ARTICLES. 9.ALL FURNITURES REMOVE FROM BED ROOMS, OFFICES, AND LOUNGES ETC MUST BE MOVED BACK TO THEIR ORIGINAL POSITION AT THE END OF CONTRACTOR?S WORK SHIFT. SPECIAL HANDLING: A. THE VIDEO AND MONITORING EQUIPMENT IN THE CENTRE PROTECTION SUPERVISOR OFFICE LOCATED ON THE 1ST FLOOR OF BLDG. 369 REQUIRES SPECIAL HANDLING FOR DISCONNECTION AND RECONNECTING BACK INTO SERVICE. PURCHASER WILL PROVIDE AN APPROVED SUB-CONTRACTOR FOR THIS WORK. THE COST OF WHICH WILL BE PART OF THE COST OF INSTALLATION.SHOULD THE CONTRACTOR DECIDE NOT TO USE THE APPROVED SUB-CONTRACTOR THEY WILL BE LIABILE FOR THE PROPER OPERATION OF SUCH EQUIPMENT AFTER CARPET INSTALLATION IS COMPLETED IN THAT ROOM. B. THE TABLES IN THE GAME ROOM MUST BE SET PERFECTLY LEVELED AND SQUARED. SHOULD THE CONTRACTOR REQUIRE A SERVICEMAN TO DO THIS AFTER THE CARPET INSTALLATION? THE COST FOR THE SERVICE OF SUCH SERVICE MAN SHALL BE PART OF THE INSTALLATION COST. 10.THE IN HOUSE ELEVATOR WILL BE USED FOR TRANSPORT OF MATERIAL FROM FLOOR TO FLOOR. FROM TIME TO TIME, THE ELEVATOR WILL NOT BE AVAILABLE DUE TO SERVICE/REPAIR. CONTRACTOR WILL NOT BE COMPERSATED FOR ANY LOST TIME AND/OR PRODUCTIVITY. 11. CONTRACTOR SHALL PROVIDE A MASTER SCHEDULE DETAILING THE PROPOSED WORK FOR EACH DAY.THE MASTER SCHEDULE MUST IS SUBMITTED PRIOR TO AWARD OF CONTRACT.FOR CONTRACTOR?S INFORMATION, THE WORK AREA IS AVAILABLE FOR YOU TO WORK EVERY DAY FROM 7:30AM TO 3.00PM. NO WORK SHALL BE CARRIED OUT ON SAT. , SUN AND HOLIDAYS. PURCHASER EXPECTS IT WILL REQUIRE APPROXIMATELY THREE WEEKS TO COMPLETE THE CARPET ON ONE FLOOR. THIS WILL BE THE SCHEDULE TO FOLLOW. 12. CONTRACTOR?S FOREMAN WILL REVIEW WITH PURCHASER?S REPRESENTATIVE ON DAILY PROGRESS AND PLAN FOR NEXT DAY. II. JOB WALK: 1. A MANDATORY JOB WALK WILL BE CONDUCTED BY STEVE CHAN, MAINTENANCE SUPERVISOR ON WEDNESDAY, AUGUST 3, 2005 AT 10:00 AM. INTERESTED VENDORS WILL REPORT TO BLDG 369, AVENUE C, TREASURE ISLAND, PROMPTLY AT 10 AM AND SIGN IN WITH THE FRONT DESK UPON ARRIVAL. 1. CONTRACTORS SHALL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR THE MEASUREMENT OF EACH WORK AREA AND ANY DIFFICULTIES ON THE REMOVAL OF EXISTING AND INSTALLATION OF NEW CARPET 2.CONTRACTOR SHALL PROVIDE SAMPLES OF CARPET DURING JOB WALK FOR PURCHASER REVIEW.
