As part of our continuous information exchange with industry in the formulation of the Land Mobile Radio (LMR) acquisition for Shaw AFB we request your assistance in determining if this acquisition should be a total set aside for one of three small business procurement programs: (1) 8(a) program, (2) HUBZone program or (3) Service Disabled Veteran-Owned or (4) other small business under the auspice of Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 19, Small Business Programs. In accordance with Part 19, there must be a reasonable expectation that offers will be obtained from at least two responsible small business concerns in a small business class and the award will be made at fair market prices for a set-aside to be appropriate. In this particular case the government is trying to ascertain if there are four responsible concerns classified as 8(a) s, or HUBZone or Service Disabled Veteran-Owned small business and small business. In order for this determination to be made, we require additional information to improve our understanding of interested small business concerns' capabilities. 2. If your firm intends to propose as a prime contractor on this effort, request you respond to the following areas regarding your experience, capabilities, and intentions. Please give a brief response to the questions below, and limit your response to 7 pages. We are not requesting technical/management proposals. Evidence of financial capability and technical/management resources to support a requirement of this nature and size. e.
