- Description
- NASA/GSFC plans to issue a Request for Proposal (RFP) for Electronic Based Support for the Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) and Small Business Technology Transfer (STTR) Programs. The resulting contract is a follow-on to the current Electronic Based Support contract, which provides NASA with electronically based support of the peer-review proposal subprocesses for the NASA SBIR and STTR programs within the Internet-based system. This requirement will be issued as an 8(a) competitive procurement. It is anticipated that this contract will be awarded as a Cost-Plus-Fixed Fee (CPFF) contract with a 3-year base period and one 2-year option. The Government intends to acquire a commerical item using FAR Part 12. The NAICS Code and Size Standard are 541512 and $21.0M, respectively. The anticipated release date of RFP is on or about August 15, 2005, with an anticipated due date for proposals on or about September 15, 2005. All qualified responsible sources may submit a proposal upon release of the formal RFP, whcih shall be considered by the agency. This synopsis shall not be construed as a commitment by the Government, nor will the Government pay for the information solicited. An ombudsman has been appointed. See NASA Specific Note "B". The solicitation and any documents related to this procurement will be available over the Internet. These documents will reside on a World-Wide Web (WWW) server, which may be accessed using a WWW browser application. The Internet site, or URL, for the NASA/GSFC Business Opportunities page is http://prod.nais.nasa.gov/cgi-bin/eps/bizops.cgi?gr=D&pin=51 Prospective offerors shall notify this office of their intent to submit an offer. It is the offeror's responsibility to monitor the Internet site for the release of the solicitation and amendments (if any). Potential offerors will be responsible for downloading their own copy of the solicitation and amendments (if any). Any referenced notes may be viewed at the following URLs linked below.
