Description

The NOAA National Marine Fisheries Service (NMFS), Milford Connecticut Laboratory has a requirement to install a new 2-ply modified bitumen roofing system at the NMFS Laboratory in Milford, CT. This requirement is a 100% Small Business Set-Aside. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) is 238160 and small business size standard is $12.0M. The scope of the work includes, but is not limited to providing all labor, materials, and equipment necessary to replace approximately 3600 sq. ft. of built up flat roofing with an option to provide and install all materials and labor necessary to repair approximately 5000 sq. ft. of sloped metal roofing. Contractor shall remove existing built up roofing, insulation and flashings down to existing roof deck. New roofing system shall be capable of resisting the uplift pressure from a 90 mph wind speed. A pre-bid site visit is mandatory prior to submitting a quote. All interested vendors shall schedule a site visit appointment through Mike Elliott at (203) 882-6512. Work shall begin on or about 1 August 2005. The performance period will be 60 calendar days after receipt of Notice to Proceed. The magnitude of this project is estimated to be between $25,000 and $100,000. Copies of the solicitation will be uploaded to this site on or about July 12, 2005. Contractors are advised to register at this site as an ?Interested Vendor?. It is intended that a firm fixed price purchase order is awarded using simplified acquisition procedures to the lowest priced responsible vendor that meets the specification. To be eligible for award, vendors must be registered with the Central Contractor Registration (CCR): www.ccr.gov and obtain a DUNS number by calling 1-800-333-0505. Prospective contractors are also required to complete electronic annual representations and certifications at http://orca.bpn.gov in conjunction with the required CCR registration.
