Description
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention intends to purchase Stainless Steel 4 compartment socialization primate units with sliding doors. The cages must be 6.2 square feet compartments with 32" inside animal height. (4) removable collection pans, (4) 5"w 3"h cardholders, (4) removable feeders, (4) squeeze backs and (4) removable perches. (3) vertical dividers for each tier: 91) 1" x 1" Square grid, (1) regular polycarbonate & (1) solid stainless steel water system. The Government intends to evaluate offers and award a contract without discussions with Offerors providing the requested product. Therefore, the initial offer should contain the offeror=s best terms from a technical and price standpoint. The North American Industry Classification (NAICS) Code is 332618 and the Size Standard is 500 employees for this requirement. This requirement is a small business set-aside. Interested vendors capable of furnishing the government with the products in this synopsis should submit two (2) copies of a quotation to the below address. The quotation shall include the itemized price, prompt payment terms, the F.O.B. Point (Destination or Origin), Taxpayer Identification Number (TNN), Dun & Bradstreet Number (DUNS), and descriptive literature of the product quoted. The quotation must reference Solicitation number 2005-Q-02265. Quotations will be due fifteen (15) calendar days from the publication date of this synopsis or August 8, 2005, by 8:30 a.m. local time, whichever is later. All responsible sources may submit a quotation, which if timely received, shall be considered by the agency. Quotations must be submitted in writing to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, 2920 Brandywine Road, Atlanta, GA 30341, Attention: Gary Morgan. Any interested parties that believes it can meet the above requirements, may submit a statement of capabilities. The capability statement and any other furnished information must be in writing and must contain material in sufficient detail to allow CDC to determine if the party can fully meet the requirements herein. This action is pursuant to 41 USC 253(1) and under the authority of FAR 6.302-1. The requirement will be procured as a commercial item in accordance with FAR Part 12.102(c) under the test program. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed requirement based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. THIS IS A COMBINED SYNOPSIS/SOLICITATION FOR COMMERCIAL ITEMS PREPARED IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE FORMAT IN SUBPART 12.6, AS SUPPLEMENTED WITH ADDITIONAL INFORMATION INCLUDED IN THIS NOTICE. THIS ANNOUNCEMENT CONSTITUTES THE ONLY SOLICITATION; QUOTES ARE BEING REQUESTED AND A WRITTEN SOLICITATION WILL NOT BE ISSUED. The following provisions apply to this acquisition; 52.212-1 Instructions to Offerors - Commercials Items (MAR 2000) applies to this acquisition; 52.212-2, Evaluation - Commercial Items (JAN 1999); the evaluation criteria stated in paragraph (a) of this provision are as follows: (1) technical capability of the proposed system to meet the requirements stated herein, and (2) price. The clause 52.212-4, Contract Terms & Conditions - Commercial Items (MAY 1999) applies to this acquisition. The following FAR Clauses are hereby added to this clause: 52.247-35 F.O.B. Destination; The clause at 52.212-5 - Contract Terms and Conditions Required to Implement Statutes or Executive Orders - Commercial Items applies to this acquisition. The following clauses listed in paragraph (b) of 52.212-5 apply to this acquisition: (1), (3), (5), (7), (9), (11), (12), (14), (15), (17), (18), (20) and (24). OFFERORS SHALL INCLUDE A COMPLETED COPY OF THE PROVISION AT 52.212-3, OFFERORS REPRESENTATIONS AND CERTIFICATIONS - COMMERCIAL ITEMS, WITH YOUR QUOTE. The best way to complete this certification is to download the FAR Clauses (Volume II) at: http://www.arnet.gov/far, print out the clause 52.212-3, Offeror Representation and Certification, and fill in the appropriate blanks. Quotes will be due August 8, 2005, by 8:30 AM EST at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention; Acquisition and Assistance Branch B; Attn: Gary Morgan; 2920 Brandywine Road, Atlanta, GA 30341. All responsible sources that can meet the above requirement may submit a quote, which will be considered by the Agency. All vendors need to be registered in the Central Contracting Registry (CCR) prior to award of a Federal contract. The preferred method for completing registration is via the World Wide Web at http://www.ccr.gov. A handboook and other information are available at the website, including information on how to obtain a DUNS number, which is required to begin the registration process.
