Description
Notice of Set-Aside for Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business Concerns: (a) The proposed contract is 100% set aside for award to service-disabled veteran-owned small business concerns. Offers or quotations from other than service-disabled veteran-owned small business concerns will not be considered and shall be rejected. (b) Definitions. As used in this provision: "Service-disabled veteran-owned small business concern" (1) Means a small business concern (i) Not less than 51 percent of which is owned by one or more service-disabled veterans or, in the case of any publicly owned business, not less than 51 percent of the stock of which is owned by one or more service-disabled veterans; and (ii) The management and daily business operations of which are controlled by one or more service-disabled veterans or, in the case of a veteran with permanent and severe disability, the spouse or permanent caregiver of such veteran. (2) Service-disabled veteran means a veteran, as defined in 38 U.S.C. 101(2), with a disability that is service-connected, as defined in 38 U.S.C. 101(16). The VAMC Lebanon intends to award a contract for "RENOVATE BUILDING 17 ENTRANCE_. Work shall include provision of all labor, materials and any other items necessary to renovate the entrance on the west side of Building 17, at the VA Medical Center, Lebanon, PA. Work will include but not be limited to removal of the existing revolving door and installation of a new larger revolving door and a new wind break at Building 17. All work will be in strict compliance with all applicable codes and VA regulations. This will be a firm-fixed price contract. NAICS Code is 236220 Commercial and Institutional Building Construction, with a small business size standard of $28.5 million. Estimated construction cost is $100,000 to $250,000. A Pre-Bid Conference will be held on August 26, 2005 at the Lebanon VA. The conference will be held at 10:00AM in Bldg 18 , Rm 117.
