Description
The U.S. Army TACOM-Picatinny is contemplating an award of a frim fixed price 100% small business set-aside for the Drop/Shock Test Machine. The Physical Characteristics shall be no taller than 15', drop table dimension 24" X 24", shock table to be fabricate from solid aluminum, not cast, shock machine to include its own Floating Seismic Base to isolate high shock loads to the building floor, and shock table to have rotating capability on a gimble mount to allow positioning from 0 to 90 degrees from horizontal; Shock Capability shall provide a machine capable of repeatable short duration half sine shock pulses, and capable of producing pulses of nominal 2 millisecond duration and accelerations of approximately 300-to 1200 g-load force, controler shall have half sine,trapezoidal and sawtooth shock pulse capabilities; Machine controller shall have a control system use for test parameter setups and operation of machine, controller shall sllow manual as well as auto-cycles modes and include a pulse estimator that determines machine settings based on desired shock pulse, electric table hoist, table height shall be precision positioned and controlled using optical means and have a pneumatic braking on both sides and data acquisition and shock analysis capability; Delivery and Installation of the Drop/Shock Test Machine shall be provided by the contractor to arrive in a crate to building 121 at Watervliet Arsenal, where on-site installation shall be provided by the contractor, assemble and install all modules, cables and hoses, demonstrate standard system performance and features, train operators on system operation, setting up tests, data acquisition, safety, maintenance and calibration requirements, connect all required electrical and air utilities to the machine (available in the bldg.), and government personnel will provide some assistance in the delivery and installation.
