Description
Request For Proposals, Best Value based on past performance/experience/price. Work shall be accomplisehd within 90 calendar days (Nov 2005). Estimated price range is between $250,000 and $400,000. Davis Bacon Wage Rates CA20030029 apply. RFP is only available electronically by accessing the electronic web site at http://ideasec.nbc.gov/j2ee/login.jsp. Scope of Work: Pond A2W: The north end of Pond A2W, interior side of levee is being washed away by wind and wave action. Approximately from the A2W-4 outlet structure southeast to the Stevens Creek outlet is affected (552 meters). Area will be flagged at the site by the Refuge. 1. Rip-rap is proposed to replace the lost soil. " Rip-rap must be free of any debris or contaminants. " Rip-rap rock must be 1- 3 ft in diameter. " Placed on levee from waterline to 5 feet above. " Single axle trucks used for delivery of rock (public trail and narrow levees). " Excavator to place rock on levee side once the trucks unload onto levee. Work to be completed by: August, 2006 2. At high tides, there are 2 areas where the Bay water is overflowing the levees into the Ponds. " 2 -50 ft. sections need to be raised 1ft to 2 ft. high. Area will be flagged at the site by the Refuge. " Soil does not contain and is not contaminated with any hazardous substances or hazardous waste including, but not limited to: asbestos or asbestos-containing material, petroleum products, such as oil, solvents, debris of any kind, or toxic substances. " Single axle trucks used for delivery of fill. " Front-end loader or equivalent to compact and grade levee. Work to be completed by: November, 2005 Ponds AB1 and A3N: These Ponds exterior levees face the Bay and are exposed to high tides and extreme wave actions causing the Bay-side levee to erode (Approximately 1700 meters in length). Area will be flagged at the site by the Refuge. 1. Rip-rap is proposed to replace any areas where wave action has eroded levee. " Rip-rap must be free of any debris or contaminants.
