Description

The Department of the Interior Aviation Management (DOI AM) is seeking interest and price quotes from current Aircraft Rental Agreement (ARA) operators for a Contractor operated aircraft to transport radio systems, supplies, and occasional passengers from Boise, Idaho to airports across the Western States in support of large fires. The Contractor will be required to hold a current Federal Aviation Administration Part 135 Air Carrier operating certificate for the category and class of aircraft required and provided under the contract. Aircraft will be based at Boise, Idaho in support of the National Interagency Fire Center Coordination Center. Two pilots will be required to provide 24-hour coverage 7 days per week. Pilot and aircraft should be approved for single pilot IFR. Aircraft required is to be an IMC and night approved and equipped, Cheyenne III, King Air 90, 100, or 200, PC-12, or possibly Cheyenne II may be considered. We will need 30 days of exclusive use aviation services. There will be a minimum guarantee of 2 hours flight time per day averaged over the 30- day period of use if the aircraft is not flown. In selecting an aircraft, the ordering office will evaluate Vendors by trading-off the differences in capability and price. The contract instrument will be the DOI AM Rental Agreement (ARA) and award will be made by modification to a current ARA.
