Description
The Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR), Code 4.5.8 at St. Inigoes, MD has a requirement for the procurement of Single Board Computers (SBCs) and related software and cables. These SBCs are to be procured on a sole source basis from Apptis, Inc. 14155 Newbrook Drive, Chantilly, VA 20151. The required Single Board Computers (SBC) must be electronically and mechanically identical to fielded equipment. The single board computers minimum requirements are: 650 MHz UltraSPARC IIe processor, 512 MB SDRAM, dual slot board with three 64 bit PMC slots (one on base; two on expansion), two 10/100Base T Ethernet connectors with front panel RJ45 connectors (one on base; one on expansion), two Ultra3 LVD SCSI ports, six RS232-C serial ports (4 available on front panel), PS2 keyboard/mouse port via 110104-002 adapter cable, IEEE 1284 bi-directional parallel port (accessible on the P2 conenctors), audio port, 8 MB User Flash, 4 MB System Flash, and has a VME64X interface. The Themis SBC is the only known computer that supports the Sun Solaris operating system as well as meets the external connectivity via P2 connector on the 6U VME chassis requirement. This SBC is designed specifically to meet the requirements of the mandatory SUN operating system, used in the AN/TPX-42A(V) 14 Interrogator System. The North American Industry Classification Systems (NAICS) code for this requirement is 334111 with a size standard of 1,000 employees. This synopsis is for the basic contract and all subsequent delivery orders to be issued. This synopsis is for informational purposes only. THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS; however, responsible interested parties may submit information in which they can identify interest and capability to respond to this requirement. Responses received by 3:30 PM EST on 02 August 2005 will be considered by the Government solely for the purpose of determining whether it will initiate a competitive procurement. The Government reserves the right to process the procurement on a sole source basis based upon the responses received. The Government will not pay for any information received. All responsible sources may submit a proposal which shall be considered by the agency.
