Description

The work included is to provide a new analog/addressable Fire Alarm Head End for the existing Hart Senate Office Building (HSOB) Fire Alarm System. This new head end shall recreate the functions of the existing equipment; including, but not limited to: monitoring of existing initiating devices, controlling and powering existing fire alarm system speakers, providing new printer(s) and output at existing printer locations, controlling and powering (except those on existing remote power panels) existing visible notification devices, shutting down HVAC units, secondary power supply(ies), serving firefighter telephones, controlling electromagnetic door holders, controlling perimeter door security, controlling elevators at existing level of control, and all other components required to replace the existing fire alarm control equipment. This solicitation will be available in hard copy or electronically on or by August 10, 2005. Requests for hard copies must be made to Chris Lindsay, Contract Specialist. The solicitation will be available electronically at http://www.aoc.gov/business/procure-opps.cfm on the date of issuance. Interested parties are encouraged to download the electronic version, as this will eliminate lost time incurred when a hard copy of the solicitation is mailed.
