Description
The U. S. Coast Guard is considering whether or not to set-aside an acquisition for Historically Underutilized Business Zone (HUBZone) concerns only. The estimated magnitude of this construction project is between $100,000.00 and $250,000.00. The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) for this acquisition is 237990 and the small business size standard is $28.5 Million. The acquisition is for provide materials and services necessary for BFC Pier Renovations, Building 183, U. S. Guard Training Center Yorktown, Yorktown, Virginia. The work includes, but is not limited to, replacing (remove existing and install new) deteriorated/damaged treated wood timber decking, stringers, pile caps, pile clamps, cross bracing, top of pile and hardware (bolts, nuts, washers, fasteners, drift pins) with new, installation of new polyethylene pile caps on all fender piles, furnishing additional new treated material for replacement of deteriorated/damaged timbers found during construction, and incidental related work. All work shall be accomplished in accordance with Specification No. K04060 and Drawing No. 2-18336-1 through 2-18336-6 (Sheets 1 ? 6). All base bid work shall be completed within105 calendar days after award. The contractor?s actual construction work at the site will be limited to 45 days once work at the site has started. Work includes a base bid with unit price bid items. At the present time, the acquisition is expected to be issued under full and open competition procedures. In your response, include a positive statement of your intention to submit a bid for this solicitation as a prime contractor. Your response is requested by August 9, 2005.
