Description
This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items being procured in accordance with FAR Part 13, Simplified Acquisitions Procedures. The office of NOAA Marine Operations Center, Pacific located in Seattle, WA intends to acquire the following items: 1.) quantity 1 each Nikon D70/D70S digital SLR-design still camera or equal; 2.) wide angle lens, such as Nikkor 20mm f/2.8D AF lens; 3. ) qty 1 each 1 GB Lexar/Sandisk CF memory (minimum of 9MB/sec sequential write speed); 4.) qty 1 each Deep sea synchronized strobe with minimum 200 watt-seconds user selectable power output and 2 remote head(s); 5.) qty 1 each adjustable automatic triggering device, such as bottom contact switch or altimeter trigger; 6.) qty 1 each rechargeable NiMH battery pack for full autonomous operation of camera system, and automatic charger with high temperature shutdown; 7.) qty 1 each minimum 500m-rated pressure housings for still camera with water-corrected port to match lens, strobe and power supply 8.) all cables, connectors, controllers, bulkheads and interfaces required to support autonomous operation 9.) reusable shipping crate(s) for full system 10.) Documentation, including a.) operation and maintenance instructions for major components b.) general specifications, including u/w connector pin assignments, wiring diagrams, control board schematics, power supply schematics. Equipment must be FOB destination to Seattle, WW by Dec 23, 2005. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation, quotations are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Only firms that can provide the exact or equal equipment described herein will be considered. All interested parties must respond to this announcement within ten (10) calendar days of its publication.
