Description

The USGS intends to award a sole-source purchase order with a base performance period and three option years to the Colorado Plateau Stable Isotope Laboratory of Northern Arizona University, Flagstaff, AZ for soil sample analysis (carbon and nitrogen) and sample preparation. This lab has been performing soil analysis for isotopes since 2003 and it is imperative that future samples conform to the results from previous years and sites. This lab has the most experience of any isotope lab in meauring isotopic values of Colorado Plateau soils. The proposed contract action is for goods for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under authority of Federal Acquisition Regulation 6.302. Delivery of results will be to the USGS Canyonland Research Station in Moab, UT. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive offers, but interested parties may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement to the Contracting Officer by e-mail (rdonez@usgs.gov) no later than the response date shown in this announcement.
