Description: The Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) intends to issue a sole source, firm fixed price Basic Ordering Agreement (BOA) order to Martin-Baker Aircraft Company, LTD, Denham, UK to integrate Universal Water Activated Release Systems (UWARS), an AN/URT-140 emergency locator beacon, and a life raft into the Mk US16LA ejection seat installed in Joint Primary Aircraft Training System (JPATS) aircraft to meet new over water ejection survival requirements. Martin-Baker is the sole designer, developer and manufacturer of the Mk US16LA ejection seat and the only known source with the required technical expertise and data to meet the Government?s needs.
