Description
THIS IS A COMBINED SYNOPSIS/SOLICITATION FOR COMMERCIAL ITEMS PREPARED IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE FORMAT IN FAR SUBPART 12.6-STREAMLINED PROCEDURES FOR EVALUATION AND SOLICITAITION FOR COMMERCIAL ITEMS ?AS SUPPLEMENTED WITH ADDITIONAL INFORMATION INCLUDED IN THIS NOTICE. THIS ANNOUNCEMENT CONSTITUTES THE ONLY SOLICITATION; QUOTATIONS ARE BEING REQUESTED AND A WRITTEN SOLICITATION DOCUMENT WILL NOT BE ISSUED. This solicitation is a Request for Quotation (RFQ). The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 05-4. The associated North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) code for this procurement is 334519 with business size standards of 500 employees. This acquisition is 100% small business set-aside. In accordance with the Non-Manufacturer Rule, to qualify under a small business set-aside, the distributor and the manufacturer must qualify as a Small Business manufacturer under the NAICS code identified above. The National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST), has a requirement for a High-Performance Laboratory Table. LINE ITEM 0001 Quantity?1 EA ? Non-magnetic 4 ft x 8 ft. 12 in. thick optical table. The table shall use 3/16 in. thick 304 stainless steel for its top, bottom and sides. The core shall be constructed or either 304 stainless steel or aluminum. The table may employ either broadband or tuned mass damping. The relevant figure of merit for the control of vibration shall be the compliance measured between 100Hz and 10000Hz. The compliance shall not exceed a measured value of 8.0 micro inches/lb within the frequency range of 100 Hz to1000 Hz. LINE ITEM 0001 Quantity?1 EA The table legs shall be four separate rigid posts without crossbars. The table shall be tapped with 1/4-20 screw holes at 1 in. o.c. DELIVERY SHALL BE FOB DESTINATION. We require a delivery time of 5 weeks ARO. FOB DESTINATION MEANS: The Contractor shall pack and mark the shipment in conformance with carrier requirements, deliver the shipment in good order and condition to the point of delivery specified in the purchase order, be responsible for loss of and/or damage to the goods occurring before receipt and acceptance of the shipment by the consignee at the delivery point specified in the purchase order; and pay all charges to the specified point of delivery. Award shall be made to the offeror whose quote offers the best value to the Government lowest price technically acceptable.
