- Description
- The FAA, New England Region currently has a requirement for the repair of concrete piles supporting the Runway 29 MALSR catwalk at the Portland International Jetport, Portland, ME. Work includes, but isn't limited to the following: repair of concrete piles supporting the catwalk for the Runway 29 Medium Intensity Approach Light System (MALSR) over the Fore River Tidal Basin in Portland, ME, encapsulation of piles with fiberglass jackets, removal and patching of exposed lifting straps, pile core sampling, materials testing by a qualified materials testing agency, and removal of a 245 linear feet of steel catwalk superstructure. This requirement is 100% set-aside for small business concerns, North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) is 321114, size standard 500 employees. Estimated price range for this requirement is $25,000.00 to $150,000.00. A solicitation package will be available on or about 8/1/05 and a non-refundable fee of $25.00 is required for each package. Offerors must have completed 3 jobs of similar size and complexity and have 3 years experience in concrete repair in a marine environment. Work shall begin on or about September 12, 2005 due to limitations of structural grout in cold weather. Contract performance time is 90 calendar days.
