Description
SOL: 261-0205-05 Due: August 12, 2005 Request for Proposal - California Workers Comp Claims Collection The Department of Veterans Affairs has a requirement for identification of California workers compensation cases in which the VA, as a medical lien claimant under the California Labor Code, may obtain reimbursement for medical care provided to injured workers. Upon identification, contractor will proceed with collection efforts and will be entitled to a percentage of the collection proceeds. Contractor must maintain computerized access to a database which provides filing information to identify California Worker Comp claims. This effort will support the Office of General Counsel, located at the San Francisco VA. Please advise if your firm is a small business, and if so, what category. Telephone requests will NOT be accepted. All questions must be submitted in writing, questions may be faxed to W. Ulibarri, (650) 849-0332 or emailed to bill.ulibarri@med.va.gov. You may also mail to William Ulibarri, Consolidated Contracting Activity (CCA/90), VAPAHCS, Room C-140, Bldg. 6, 3801 Miranda Ave., Palo Alto, CA 94304. This is estimated to be a five year requirement, from October 2005 to September 2010, consisting of one base year and four one year options thereafterwards. Electronic solicitation may be accessed at no cost at http://www.bos.oamm.va.gov. Any amendment issued against this solicitation will also be available from the same URL address. Contractor is responsible for submitting all documents required in accordance with the solicitation, including any amendments which will be posted on this website. Solicitation is also subject to availability of funding.
