Description

The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service intends to issue a sole source award to Alabama Malacological Research Center for a mussels survey and habitat assessment in the Escambia, Yellow, Choctawhatchee river basins. The Panama City Field Office of the U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service is conducting the second year of this project. The director of the Alabama Malacological Research Center identified the mussels collected in the initial survey and co-authored the final report for the first year of the project while working for Troy University. THIS NOTICE IS NEITHER A REQUEST FOR QUOTATION NOR A SOLICITATION OF OFFERS. A determination not to compete this proposed contract has been made Pursuant to 41 U.S.C. 253(c)(1), as implemented by 6.302-1(b)(1)(i), this requirement has been justified and approved in accordance with FAR 6.303 and FAR 6.304.
