Description

Subject to final approval, the Bureau of The Public Debt intends to acquire on a sole-source basis to Sun Microsystems Inc., 500 Eldorado Boulevard, Broomfield, CO 80021, for one (1) 40-hour hands-on course, Sun Java System Identity Manager 5.0 Administration and Implementation, to be held at Parkersburg, WV. Sun Microsystems has proprietary rights to the Identify software. No other vendor is authorized to teach the functionalities of the software. The Government intends to solicit only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302. Services are being solicited and awarded as a commercial item in accordance with FAR 13.5. This notice of intent is not a request for quote. NO SOLICITATION DOCUMENT IS AVAILABLE. A request for more information or a copy of the solicitation will not be considered an affirmative response. Written responses shall be accompanied by sufficient documentation to clearly show the ability to provide the requirement at terms more advantageous to the Government. Public Debt will consider all written responses received no later than 2:00 p.m. EDT, August 3, 2005. If no written response is received that clearly demonstrates the ability to meet all requirements and that it is more advantageous to the Government, we will make a sole-source award to Sun Microsystems, Inc.
