Description: This is a notice of intent to issue an order to Norsat International Inc., 300-4401 Still Creek Drive, Burnaby BC V5C 6G9, on a sole source basis under the authority of FAR 6.302-1, Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements, 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1). The item being procured is a field replaceable unit, that is a replacement part for the Norsat, Model 3200 Newslink, Portable Satellite News Gathering (SNG), Ku-Band uplink transmitter system. The 40 Watt SSPA/Transmitter Assembly and the SNG system itself are both manufactured by Norsat, the original equipment manufacturer (OEM). This announcement constitutes the only notice, a written solicitation will not be issued. NOTE 22 APPLIES.
