Description
The Department of Homeland Security, Bureau of Customs and Border Protection, is issuing a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect. The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 05-04. The NAICS code is 622110. The small business size standard is $29 million. Customs and Border Protection (CBP), Miami, FL has a requirement for medical services to be provided for international passengers entering the United States who are suspected of internal concealment of illegal drugs into the country. These services shall include a medical facility capable of offering on-site x-ray, radiographic evaluation, pregnancy tests for female suspects, medical examinations, and physician services available 24 hours per day. The services shall also provide internment of the suspects with around-the-clock monitoring at the facility. The facility must have life support capabilities for emergencies. The facility shall be within a 6-10 mile radius from the Miami International Airport to enable this agency to effectively transport and process the suspects in an expeditious manner. In addition, the contractor must provide a designated lockdown area for confinement of each suspect and provide an area that will be used for installation of a drugloo machine provided as Government Furnished Equipment (GFE). The performance period for this proposed contract is a base year and four one-year options if exercised. The maximum overall contract will not exceed $2,200,000. The provisions at FAR 52.212-1, Instruction to Offerors-Commercial, apply to this acquisition. FAR 52.212-3, Evaluation-Commercial Items, is applicable. Far 52.212-4, Contract Terms and Conditions ? Commercial Items, applies. Plus FAR 52.212-5, Contract Terms and Conditions Required to Implement Statures or Executive Orders-Commercial Items and FAR 52.217-5, Evaluation of Options.
