- The Social Security Administration (SSA) has a requirement for contractor services which provide SSA with independent analysis and documentation regarding the quality of current consultative exams (CEs) used in the determination of disability. Additionally, the contractor would assess if CEs are being requested in compliance with SSA regulations; determine the methodology of a functional data collection system; establish a baseline for CE quality; and determine those initiatives that will improve the quality of future CEs. This requirement will be procured utilizing procedures from Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) Part 15. SSA anticipates awarding a firm-fixed price (with reimbursable travel) contract with a period of performance of 270 days from the date of award. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 541720, with a size standard of $6.0 million. Solicitation number SSA-RFP-05-1059, is scheduled for release on or about August 15, 2005, with proposals due 30 calendar days thereafter. The solicitation will be available for downloading from the Federal Procurement website at www.fedbizopps.gov. HARD COPIES OF THE RFP WILL NOT BE MAILED.
