PROCUREMENT DESCRIPTION: Contractor shall provide all labor, materials, parts, equipment & facilities to accomplish overhaul, testing, packing & packaging in accordance with performance, technical and engineering specifications outlined in the contract. A contract is anticipated by the Government to obtain a Firm Fixed-Price (FFP), Requirements, Overhaul contract for 1 (one) base year, plus 4 one-year option periods. Estimated items and quantities are detailed for the following contract line item numbers (CLINs) ---- 0001: NATIONAL STOCK NUMBER 1650-01-013-2906, PRODUCT NUMBER: 32733703, NOUN: Piston, APPLICATION: A-10 Aircraft, ESTIMATED QUANTITY.: Basic year = 45 each - Option year 1 = 45 each - Option year 2 = 45 each - Option year 3 = 45 each - Option year 4 = 45 each; 0002: Applicable Over and Above work; and 0003: Contract Data Requirements List (CDRLs) reporting in accordance with DD Forms 1423 & 1664. All CLIN deliveries above shall be 30 calendar days/1 month A.R.O., unless expressed otherwise. THIS ACQUISITION IS BEING CONDUCTED UNDER ‘FULL AND OPEN COMPETITION’ ON AN ‘UNRESTRICTED BASIS’. **THE SOLICITATION DOCUMENT SHALL BE POSTED TO THIS WEBSITE BY FRIDAY, JUNE 24, 2005 (BY THE CLOSE OF BUSINESS)** All telephone requests will be denied. Qualification requirements: Sources must be qualified prior to being considered for award. Authority: 10 U.S.C. 2304(C)(1), Justification: Supplies (or Services) required are available from only one or a limited number of responsible source(s) and no other type of supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. The proposed contract action is for supplies and services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one, or a limited number of sources under the authority of FAR 6.302. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all proposals received within forty-five days (30 days if award is issued under an existing basic ordering agreement) after date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Specifications, plans, or drawings relating to the procurement described are incomplete or not available and cannot be furnished by the Government. Award will be made only if the offeror, the product/service, or the manufacturer meets qualification requirements at the time of award in accordance with FAR clause 52.209-1. AWARD WILL NOT BE WITHHELD AWAITING QUALIFICATION.
