- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items and services prepared in accordance with the format is Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Issued as a Request for Quotations (RFQ).The reference number is 5TC693.This solicitation document and incorporated provisions are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2001-15 and DFARS change notice 20030722.The NAICS code is 238390 see STATEMENT OF WORK and contact information: Remove and Replace 729 Auditorium Chairs in Forbes Hall Auditorium DESCRIPTION OF SERVICES: Contractor shall furnish all necessary plant, labor,tools, transportation, supplies, supervision, equipment, materials, and incidentals necessary for the removal of 729 chairs and the installation of 594 new chairs in Building 147 on Lackland AFB. This is a turnkey project. The 594 replacement chairs shall be equal to the Frontline Design, INC, Alassandria auditorium chairs(Mfg: Royal Seating) with folding tablet arms #801,22 inches W x 38 inches H x 19 3/4 inches D. Tablet should be 5-ply, 518 inches hardwood plywood core, 10 1/2 inches x 11 1/2 inches. Upholstery should be grade 1 Fabric, Color Navy Blue.Contractor shall remove old chairs and transport them to a designated storage location (Customer will determine whether disposal or storage of chairs before selection is made). Contractor shall also make necessary repairs to floor surfaces and existing structure (chairs are bolted down to concrete and aisle are carpeted). Maximum efforts should be made to return floor surfaces to original condition and meet all appropriate civil engineering standards.PERFORMANCE PERIOD. Work shall commence on date agreed upon by both parties within 30 days of notification of award. Work shall be completed within 30 days of start date.HOURS OF WORK. Normal hours of work at Lackland AFB are 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday through Friday excluding federal holidays. Work outside these hours must be coordinated with the Government Point of Contact prior.SECURITY AND CLEANUP: Contractor shall coordinate with the building manager to gain access to the facility. All facilities are to be secured at the end of each day. It is the responsibility of the contractor to ensure all work shall be accomplished to meet this requirement. At the end of each day the contractor shall remove all debris generated from this project.SAFETY. Contractor shall adhere to federal, state, and local safety requirements while working on Lackland AFB.GOVERNMENT FURNISHED PROPERTY. Government shall supply appropriate power for execution of work.GOVERNMENT TECHNICAL POINT OF CONTACT.
