- NOTICE OF INTENT TO BUNDLE The VA National Acquisition Center will issue RFP 797-NC-05-0059 for the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), Department of Defense (DOD), Indian Health Service (IHS) and Bureau of Prison (BOP) requirements for Acetaminophen tablets. This will be a Small Business Set-a-Side procurement. Acetaminophen tablets have an estimated annual usage as follows: 325mg 50s = 116,580 bottles (VA does not use 325mg 50s), 325mg 100s = 817,327 bottles, 325mg, 1000s = 48,237 bottles, 500mg 100s= 726,010 bottles, 500mg 1000s= 17,532 bottles. The estimated quantities listed above are for VA, DOD. The Bureau of Prisons (BOP) and Indian Health Services (IHS) requirements are forthcoming and will be added to the solicitation once issued. Award will be made on the package size most advantageous to the Government. The contract period will be for one year plus four one-year options to extend. The contract items will be distributed through the VA and DOD Pharmaceutical Prime Vendors (PPV). Tablets must be compatible with automatic dispensing units (Baxter ATC Canisters, Optifil, etc.) and if the offeror is not a manufacturer, a signed agreement between the offeror and the manufacturer must be submitted with the offer and remain in effect for the duration of the contract period including the option years. Glass bottles are not acceptable. OFFERS ARE NOT BEING SOLICITED AT THIS TIME. The solicitation will be available for downloading on or about the issue date of August 9, 2005 from the VA Office of Acquisition and Material Management's (O&AMM) internet web site at http://www.va.gov/oamm/busopp/sols.htm Offers will be due by 4:00 pm Central Standard Time on Sept. 9, 2005.
