- Construction of a new Postal Facility, Byhalia, MS located on the corner of MS Hwy 178 and Chase Street. The building will contain approximately 7,940 sq ft of floor. The work includes, but is not limited to, steel frame construction, concrete, masonry, carpentry, modified bitumen roofing, insulation, hollow metal doors, metal studs, gyp board, ceramic tile, resilient flooring, vinyl composition tile flooring, carpet, painting, store fixtures, landscaping, electrical, mechanical, utilities and other work associated with postal facilities. Bonds must be received within 5 days from receipt of Intent to Award. Notice to Proceed with construction will be issued no later than October 15, 2005. The construction schedule submittal should indicate concrete slab and concrete/asphalt pavement work completed before December 1, 2005. Cost range: $1,037,000 - $1,281,000 Const. time: 180 calendar days The subcontracting goals for this contract is a minimum of 10% for minority-owned businesses, a minimum of 40% small business enterprises and minimum of 7% for women-owned businesses in accordance with solicitation Section H. 20. No information about the proposals can be released until award is made at which time all offerors will be notified in writing. Award may be made with or without discussions. The names of unsuccessful offers and their multiplier numbers WILL NOT BE RELEASED AS PUBLIC INFORMATION. This information is exempt from disclosure under Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) Exemption 4. Only offers returned via personal hand delivery and/or US Postal Service (First Class Mail, Express Mail and Priority Mail) will be considered in compliance with this solicitation. Any other carriers will be rejected. MODIFICATIONS TO PROPOSALS WILL BE ACCEPTED BY FAX TO 651/406-5586. No Proposal Guarantee (Bid Bond) is required but a letter from your bonding company and bank ARE required (see Offerors Submittal Information). A 100% Performance Bond and a 50% Payment Bond will be required of the successful offeror.
