Description

The Federal Bureau of Prisons , Field Acquisition Office in Grand Prairie, Texas intends to make a single award for the provision of Comprehensive Medical Services for the inmate population at the Federal Correctional Institution (FCI) and Federal Prison Camp (FPC) in Pekin, Illinois. Offerors are encouraged to submit comprehensive proposals providing all listed requirements. Offerors who propose less will be evaluated accordingly. Services to be provided shall include inpatient/outpatient hospital services and inpatient/outpatient physician services. FCI Pekin is a medium level security institution with approximately 1200 male inmates. The satellite FPC is a low level security institution with approximately 260 female inmates. The contract type is requirements type contract with firm-fixed unit prices. The contract period shall consist of a 12 month base period with four 12 month option periods for renewal. The estimated quantities for the base year and each proceeding option year period are as follows: 100 inpatient days and 200 outpatient visits. The solicitation will be available on or about September 15, 2005 and will be distributed solely through the General Service Administration?s Federal Business Opportunities website at www.fedbizopps.gov. Hard copies of the solicitation will not be available. The website provides all downloading instructions to obtain a copy of the solicitation. All future information concerning the acquisition, including solicitation amendments, will be distributed solely through the website. Interest parties are responsible for monitoring this site to ensure you have the most up-to-date information about this acquisition. The anticipated date for receipt of proposals is on or about November 15, 2005. The North American Industry Classification System code for this solicitation is 622110. Faith-Based and Community-Based Organizations have the right to submit offers equally with other organizations for contracts for which they are eligible. This solicitation is unrestricted. All responsible sources may submit a proposal which will be considered.
