Description

The Government intends to negotiate with only one source under the authority of the test program for commercial items, Section 4202 of the Clinger-Cohen Act of 1996. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the req uirement or submit proposals. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all proposals received within the response date of the solicitation will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to c ompete with this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. This will be a firm fixed price C type contract. Requirement is to provide all management, equipment, tools, material and necessary labor to perform initial inspection, preventive maintenance, remedial service call and emergency service call repairs fo r all Environmental Control Units located at the Satellite Communication Command Kunia, Island of Oahu, Hawaii. The issue date for this solicitation is estimated to be on or about 8 August 2005. Response date is estimated. Actual proposal due date will b e specified in the solicitation and may be earlier or later than 15 August 2005. Period of performance is 1 Sep 2005 through 31 Aug 2006 with 2 prepriced 12-month option periods. This procurement is unrestricted. Telephone requests will not be honored.
