- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Solicitation number, N00104-05-Q-Q458, is issued as Request for Quote (RFQ). This procurement is being issued in accordance with FAR Part 13, Simplified Acquisition Procedures. The Naval Inventory Control Point has a requirement for the following items: CLIN 0001: (1 Each) Sun Fire V880 ? SF V880 41200MHz, 16GB, 6-73GB, P/N: A30-WUF4R16GRF to include: (1 Each) 2GB PCI Single FC Ntwk Adapter, P/N: SG-XPCI1FC-QF2 (1 Each) SUN? XVR-100 Graphics, P/N: X3770A (1 Each) US UNIX/UNIX UNIV./EUR.UNIX, P/N: X3538A (1 Each) 17 Flat CRT Monitor, P/N: X7147A (3 Each) North American/Asia Pwr Crd Kt Localized Power cord Kit, P/N: X311L (1 Each) SF V880 4-Way UPG 3 Yr Silver, P/N: W9D-A30-4P-3S (1 Each) S10 Media Only Kit, SPARC/X86, P/N: SOLZ9-100C9A7M This system shall be delivered to Norfolk Naval Shipyard, Portsmouth, VA and be configured to support the Joint Engineering Data Management and Information Control System (JEDMICS). The contractor shall offer the Government the same warranty terms offered to the general public. These warranty terms must be included in the system price. The provision at 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors?Commercial, applies to this acquisition. The provision of 52.212-4, Contract Terms and Condition?Commercial items, applies to this acquisition. The Government intends to award a contract resulting from this solicitation to that responsible offeror proposing the lowest price for the items required. Any resultant contract will be DO rated under the Defense Priorities and Allocation System (DPAS). Quotes are requested no later than close of business on 5 August 2005 and shall be submitted via email to tammi.reasner@navy.mil. Any questions regarding this procurement shall also be forwarded to the email provided.
