- This is a modification to the synopsis entitled, Passive Millimeter Wave Imager (PMMWI) which was posted on 11 July 2005. Offerors are notified that the following changes are made: The due date for responses is extended. Period of performance is changed from 7 months to 10 months. NOTE: THE PERFORMANCE PERIOD OF 10 MONTHS IS CRITICAL TO MEET NASA?S TECHNICAL AND FINANCIAL REQUIREMENTS. PROSPECTIVE OFFERORS SHOULD NOT SUBMIT AN OFFER IF THEY CAN NOT MEET THE PERFORMANCE PERIOD. The Small Business Set-Aside designation has been removed from this procurement. Based on additional information the Government has obtained, the decision has been made to open this procurement to full and open competition. All Prospective Offerors shall notify this office via email (Tina.M.Landes@nasa.gov) of their intent to submit an offer. All responsible sources may submit an offer which shall be considered by the agency. The anticipated release date of the best value RFP is on or about 19 August 2005 with an anticipated offer due date of on or about 20 September 2005 at 4:00 p.m. NOTE: THESE DATES ARE TENTATIVE. The Government is hopeful that the RFP may be issued sooner than 19 August 2005. The solicitation and any documents related to this procurement will be available over the Internet. These documents will reside on a World Wide Web (WWW) server, which may be accessed using a WWW browser application. The Internet site, or URL, for the NASA/KSC Business Opportunities home page is http://prod.nais.nasa.gov/cgi-bin/eps/bizops.cgi?gr=D&pin=76 It is the Offeror's responsibility to monitor the Internet site for the release of the solicitation and amendments (if any). Potential Offerors will be responsible for downloading their own copy of the solicitation and amendments (if any). All contractual technical questions must be submitted in writing via email or fax (preferably via email to Tina.M.Landes@nasa.gov). Telephone questions will not be accepted. All interested Offerors should submit their technical questions as soon as practicable (even before issuance of the solicitation). The specifications and the statement of work are published in draft at the NASA website listed herein.
