Description
DESCRIPTION: This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 13.5, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This solicitation number DE-RQ26-05NT500630 is issued as a Request for Quote (RFQ). This requirement is being issued as a Request for Quotation using Simplified Acquisition Procedures. The following items are to be purchased by the U.S. Department of Energy, National Energy Technology Laboratory (NETL), Morgantown, WV to purchase the following items: 1. UV Intensifier to be used with Vision Research Phantom 7.1 High-Speed Camera ??? the intensifier shall be a Videoscope VS41485HS.P24 UV intensifier or equivalent and shall meet the following specifications: a. The intensifier shall lens-couple to a Vision Research Phantom 7.1 high-speed camera, allowing the high-speed camera to be used both with the intensifier and as a standalone unit without the intensifier. b. The intensifier phosphor shall have a persistence of no more than one microsecond. c. The phosphor shall have an active area with a diameter of least 18 mm. d. Resolution of the phosphor shall be at least 50 line pairs.mm. e. The range of the intensifier shall include the wavelengths from 200 to 700 nm. f. The intensifier shall have a quantum efficiency of at least 15% for wavelengths of 200 ??? 400 nm and a quantum efficiency of at least 20% for 310 nm. g. The intensifier shall include software for control of all functions from a Windows PC, including gain, gate, and gate delay settings. h. The gating range shall be from 50 ns or less to at least 1 mn in 20 ns increments. i. The gating delay range shall be from zero to 2 mn in 20 ns increments. 2. UV Lens shall be a Coastal Optical Systems SLR UV lens or equivalent and shall meet the following specifications: a. The lens shall be a 105 mm f/4.5 UV lens usable with a Videoscope S41485HS.P24 UV intensifier. b. The UV lens shall be color corrected for wavelengths from 250 ??? 650 nm. c. The lens shall have a manual focus adjustable from 0.5 m to infinity. d. The aperture shall be adjustable from f/4.5 to f/32 or smaller. Award will be made to the low priced, technically acceptable offeror. The award shall be made using FAR 13, Simplified Acquisition Procedures.
