- DESCRIPTION: This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 13.5, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This solicitation number DE-RQ26-05NT500630 is issued as a Request for Quote (RFQ). This requirement is being issued as a Request for Quotation using Simplified Acquisition Procedures. The following items are to be purchased by the U.S. Department of Energy, National Energy Technology Laboratory (NETL), Morgantown, WV to purchase the following items: 1. TEAC high speed data recorder, model LX-1024AL and a Remote control unit w/color display or equivalent based on the technical specifications supplied below. The following technical specifications are required: 1. 24 channels of analog input. 2. 8 channels of analog output. 3. Sample resolution of at least 16 bits. 4. Selectable input ranges from + or ??? 0.01 to 10 VDC. 5. Simultaneous sampling on all 24 channels with minimal phase distortion. No multiplexing is preferred. 6. Selectable sampling rates from 1 ??? 96 kHz. 7. The maximum bandwidth per channel should be at least: a. 40kHz on 4 channels. b. 20kHz on 8 channels. c. 10kHz on 16 channels. d. 4kHz on 24 channels. Note that maximum bandwidth is defined as roughly one-half the maximum sampling rate. 8. Pre/Post trigger data recording. 9. Software to remotely control the recorder. 10. Software to convert data to other formats that include, but are not limited,to, the following: a. ASCII (csv). b. Matlab. c. Excel. 11. The ease of file conversion from recorded media to standard digital formats will be critically evaluated. Award will be made to the low priced, technically acceptable offeror. Offers submitting a quote must submit descriptive literature and drawings detailing features, technical capabilities and warranty data. Technical acceptability will be determined solely on the content and merit of the information submitted response to this provision as it compares to the minimum characteristics provided above. Therefore, it is essential that offerors provide sufficient technical literature, documentation, etc., in order for the Government to evaluate and to make adequate technical assessment of the quote as meeting technical acceptable.
