Description

The Forest Service intends to award a sole source contract under Simplified Acquisition Procedures for construction, delivery, and set-up of 4 ADA compliant SST vault toilets with stress concrete vaults, floors, roofs, and walls constructed out of flyash (a coal burning power plant waste product). The vault will be coated with HEY-D1 K-11, and vault cover, access panel and stool connection to the floor will be sealed to prevent water leakage in flood events. This is a notice of intent and is not a request for competitive proposals. This requirement is a sole source procurement to a small business company under the authority of FAR 6.302. This will be a fixed-price contract. The period of performance is 90 Calendar Days. If there are any other businesses that can provide the aforementioned services, they must respond with supporting documentation before August 15, 2005 at 4:30 p.m. MST. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed action based upon responses to this notice is solely the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
