- The U.S. Department of Commerce, National Weather Service (NWS) is in need of a contractor that can provide janitorial services, Monday, Wednesday and Thursday anytime after 5 p.m., for the Weather Forecast Office, WFO, Jackson, Kentucky. DESCRIPTION: The Weather Forecast Office (WFO) will provide liquid soap, paper towels, c-fold towels and toilet paper for the rest rooms and dishwashing liquid and paper towels for the break room. The contractor shall be responsible for furnishing all other supplies (chemical, trash bags, paper towels, etc.) and equipment (buffer, mop, broom, etc.) needed for cleaning purposes; the WFO will provide a ladder. These supplies and equipment are to be of good commercial value and shall be acceptable to the Meteorologist-in-Charge (MIC). Supplies/Equipment are to be properly stored in an area designated by the MIC. All chemicals, in particular industrial strength, used are required to have a MSDS sheet submitted to the Administrative Support (ASA). All chemicals are to be kept in their original containers and are to be labeled appropriately. Any business capable of completing this project is encouraged to respond to this announcement within 15 calendar days after publication of this notice. The NAICS code for this action is 561720. This is a 100% Small Business Set-Aside and is being executed under the Commercial Acquisition Procedures of FAR part 12. The Central Region Acquisitions Division requires that all contractors doing business with the Acquisition Office must be registered with the Central Contractor Registry (CCR).
