This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are b eing requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES: Services including furnishing all materials, equipment, permits, and labor to prepare surface, contain hazardous materials, prime, and paint all paintable surfaces at Har ry S. Truman Power Plant (transformers, busing caps, bus ducts) and Stockton Power Plant (transformer, bushing caps, bus duct, and oil circuit breakers (OCBs). Estimated period of performance: Oct 3 - 14 (Stockton) and Oct 15 - 26. NAICS code: 238320. SIC code: 1721. NOTE: Bidders must be registered in CCR (www.ccr.gov) and must have completed online representations and certifications in ORCA (http://orca.bpn.gov) in order to be considered. There is a new Federal Integrated Aquisition Environment (IAE) initiative called Online Representations and Certifica tions Application (ORCA). ORCA is a web-based system that centralizes and standardizes the collection, storage, and viewing of many of the representations and certifications required by the Federal Aquisition Regulations and previously found in solicitati ons. According to the language in FAR case 2002-024, vendors are required to use ORCA beginning 1 January 2005.
