Description
This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This procurement will be conducted under the Simplified Acquisition Procedure and is a 100 percent set-aside for small business under the North American Industry Classification System Code 334519 with a size standard of 500 employees. A firm-fixed price contract is contemplated and the specific requirements are available on the following web site http://ideasec.nec.gov under document 05SQ810464. The Materials Engineering and Research Laboratory of the Bureau of Reclamation (Reclamation) have a requirement for the procurement of a Shaker Control System capable of closed-loop control of a servo-hydraulic test system. A qualified system shall permit simultaneous control and recording of the control and monitor signals during a test. Further, the system shall be supplied with and operate in conjunction with control software designed to operate the system. Finally, a standard computer interface shall be used to connect a government furnished controlling PC to the Shaker Control System. Firms believing they can provide a qualifying product must provide supporting evidence to that effect in sufficient detail to demonstrate the respondent's ability to meet the stated requirements. All responses received within 7 calendar days of the date of publication of this notice will be considered by the Government. Responses should include the following: (a) the firm's business size; (b) the firm's Dun and Bradstreet number (DUNS), Tax Identification Number (TIN); and (c) a statement that Offeror is or is not registered in ORCA [Online Representations and Certifications Application] as required by FAR beginning January 1, 2005.
