Description

The United States Navy intends to obtain preventive maintenance, service calls and minor repairs for Elevator, Escalator and Dumbwaiter at the Naval Submarine Base New London, Groton, Connecticut, by means of a combination Firm-Fixed Price and Indefinite-Delivery-Indefinite-Quantity type contract. The work includes the provision of all the necessary labor, materials, tools, equipment, supplies, and supervision required to perform Facilities Investment services identified in the specification. The NAICS Code is 238290. Size standard is $12,000,000. The period of performance will be for 12 months with options to renew for four additional 12-month periods. This contract will be placed on the DOD E-Mall. Contractors will be required to comply with E-Mall requirements. SELECTION CRITERIA AND SUBMITTAL REQUIREMENTS: The selection will be based on the following criteria: Factor 1: Relevant Past Performance, Factor 2: Management and Organization Factor 3: Technical Expertise: Specialized Technical Experience, Expertise and Qualifications and Factor 4: Commitment to Small Business, and Factor 5: Price. The technical factors combined are of equal importance and when combined are approximately equal to price. The solicitation will be issued as Unrestricted. The approximate date for release of the Request For Proposals (RFP) is 16 August 2005. This solicitation will be available in electronic format only. All documents will be in Adobe Acrobat (.pdf) file format via the Internet. Prospective bidders must register for this project on the NAVFAC Electronic Solicitation Internet web site, www.esol.navfac.navy.mil to receive notification of availability of solicitation documents.
