Description
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH) intends to negotiate on a sole source basis with Dr. Susan Woskie, PH.D., CIH from the University of Massachusetts-Lowell, Lowell, Massachusetts to perform a professional service contract for Analysis of Field Data in Support of the NIOSH Nora Noise Project ?Noise Sampling Strategies & Exposure Response Models.? The scope of work involves data analyses and comparison of the results from three different task-based noise exposure measurements to result from dosimetry noise exposure measurements; evaluation of noise measurement error; and evaluation of noise exposure variability over time, job, and task. Dr. Woskie is an internationally-recognized exposure assessment scientist with expertise in and a track record of publications on work sampling methods and exposure determinant modeling which are relevant to the NIOSH noise project. She was a research collaborator for the design and development of the NIOSH research protocol for ?Noise Sampling Strategies and Exposure Response Models? during an academic sabbatical at NIOSH and is uniquely knowledgeable of both the specific aims and the underlying scientific basis of the study. This announcement is being issued for informational purposes only; requests for quotations are not available. Organizations that believe they can provide the required services are encouraged to identify themselves to the Contracting Officer within 15 days from the post date of this notice.
