Description

The U.S. Geological Survey,WSC,Atlanta, GA intends to award a non-competitive purchase order to YSI Incorporated in Yellow Springs, Ohio for the purchase of twelve YSI turpidity probes, eight Sonde's, two YSI probe kits, two YSI DO Rapid Pulse Clark Cell probes, three YSI 50 ft underwater detachable field cables, three YSI Cable adaptors with 15 ft field cable connectors and flying leads, and one YSI 650 Waterproof field data logger. The YSI model 6820 is the only sonde on the market that uses threaded, oceanographic grade stainless steel connectors between the cables and the sondes, providing the most robust and secure connectors in the industry. In addition these replacement turpidity sensors will be used to replace and upgrade existing sensors currently attached to the YSI-6820's. This sonde has been tested by the USGS Hydrological Instrumentation Facility and has met all accuracy and precision requirements as set forth by the USGS for which the sonde will be deployed. This award will be made on or about August 5, 2005 under the Simplified Acquisition Threshold of $100,000.00. The NAICS code for this acquisition is 334513.
