Description

The Department of Defense Education Activity (DoDEA) intends to award a sole source procurement to Progress Software, Inc. of Bedford, Massachusetts under authority of FAR 6.302 to provide software maintenance renewal for the DoDEA Fiscal Division's Funds Control System (FCS) and Defense Payroll System Archive System (DCPS.AS). These systems both require the use of the Progress database software suite. The period of performance is 1 October 2005 through 30 September 2006. This is not a request for competitive quotes. However, any party that believes it is capable of meeting DoDEA's requirement as stated herein may submit a written capability statement that clearly supports and demonstrates their ability to perform the requirement. All submissions must be received by the response date and time of this notice. The determination by the Government not to compete the proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. This procurement is being conducted under Simplified Acquisition Procedures in accordance with FAR Part 13. Response Date: 2:00 p.m. EST, 18 August 2005.
