Description: The National Data Buoy Center , Stennis Space Center, MS, intends to negotiate only with CELAIR Corporation of Norcross, GA for the purchase of 800 each AMCELL 2A10-2 batteries. These batteries are used on NDBC observing systems located in remote, marine environments. These batteries are a fixed 3 volt DC non-chargeable primary type, with gelled electrolyte, and a 1200 ampere-hour capacity. They are capable of 0.5A continuous current and can sustain a >3A surge for over 2 minutes every half hour until depleted. See numbered notes 1 and 22.
